Reaching the Local Community

Helping People in Need

Our desire is to bring hope to the hopeless with education and inspirational words of encouragement. We are here to support grandparents and others raising children from all walks of life and denominations. The families who attend our meetings bond together and receive the greatest gift: LOVE. Our group, the volunteers, and its founder Jackie Weaver, truly have the heart and passion for the families that we help. (You don't have to be a caregiver to attend.)

Our Purpose

We are here to build, encourage and educate our families by offering support and resources that will allow them to build sustainable lifestyles for the future.

Our Mission

Through fellowship, weekly meetings and ongoing workshops we will provide resources that allow our families to develop skills and form stronger families. We work with them to support basic needs like food, water and clothing, offer assistance with referrals for legal assistance, and create an atmosphere of stability that allows them to incorporate these resources into everyday family life.

Our Vision

We are here to provide spiritual guidance and fellowship to families facing difficult hardships. We also strive to be an inspiration and strengthen these families by offering support for basic needs and be the connection to put them in touch with other mainstream resources.

Are You a Grandparent or Raising Children Not Your Own?

If so, we want you to know that you are not alone. In fact 65,000 grandparents in Louisiana are raising grandchildren and approximately one out of ten children live with grandparents. The many concerns of grandchildren can be overwhelming so that's why it is critical for grandparents to have support. Now there is a St. Tammany Parish group that is ready to help you. You may not be aware of government and private agencies that provide helpful information and assistance.

If you are a Grandparent raising one or more grandchildren HELP IS AVAILABLE! We are here to educate you about resources, inspire and strengthen you with spiritual guidance when you join us in fellowship with others who understand your needs. We strongly encourage you to attend our next meeting.
